Butterfly Balloons Flights
Butterfly Balloon flights are a true pleasure. We have no time constraints however; you may have tours scheduled so, we anticipate flying for an hour, maybe a little more. We will collect you from your hotel early in the morning, around sunrise (it really is the best time of the day), and take you to the home of Butterfly Balloons in Goreme. We’ll serve a light breakfast while our pilots, Mustafa and Mike, check the weather conditions and decide on the best launch site for the preferred flight path.
Once at the field, there will be a full passenger safety briefing and you will have a first hand experience of the balloon inflation. The crew will help you into the basket and when everyone is happy and comfortable, the moment you have dreamt of ... up up and away!

At the end of a fantastic Butterfly Balloon flight we will celebrate the experience with champagne, shared stories and friendship. Before we return you to the hotel, passengers each receive a personalised commemorative flight certificate and our sincere thanks for sharing the best part of our day.
Butterfly Flight
(175 Euro per person, 10 Euro discount on cash payment)We don't want to use the term standard for our one hour flight as it offers way more than the standard flights in Cappadocia. Among our two types of flights, the Butterfly Flight is the shorter one while the Butterfly Beyond Flight is the longer one with less people in the basket.
Duration is minimum one hour on the air and our pilots do their best to make it one of the most memorable hours of your life. In total, from your pick-up at the hotel until the drop-off takes about three hours. Depending on your hotel's location and the season, you will usually be back before 9am and will be able to join daily excursions.
Number of people at the baskets is changing between 12 and 20. Our baskets are Double-T, which means divided into 5 compartments. The central one is for the pilot and the tanks while the four compartments on the corners are for passangers. So, on your compartment, even in our biggest balloon there won't be more than 5 people. Many other companies in Cappadocia use the same size baskets for more people and have bigger baskets for up-to 36 people flying at the same time. We believe that our guests should have the biggest leg-room for the most comfortable flight.
Transfers with minibuses are included to the flight price. We will pick you up around half an hour before the sunrise at your hotel and drive back until the hotel door after the flight.
Insurance is covering both the flight and ground handling and included to the price. Our passangers, pilots and third parties are covered with 40 Million Euro total insurance policy. We usually get requests from tour operators about the insurance details so have put our policy issued by Eureko BV here.
Breakfast is served at our office before take-off. You can have coffee, tea with some pastries and fruit.
Champagne is the most important detail of a balloon flight for pilots and Mike takes it more serious than any other pilot on earth. So we serve the best champagne after each flight with some cake.
It is actually a very old custom,
since Mongolfier brothers who did the first flight in 1873 and celebrated landing with champagne.
During winter, we also serve mulled wine as the ambient temprature is usually below zero.
Certificates are given as commemorative gifts. Although, your pilot might claim that you can fly with them by your own, don't take it serious! It's the side effect of champagne...
Children can fly with their parents and will get 50% discount between 6 and 12 years old.
Unfortunately we can't accept younger children as they get a bit bored and uncomfortable due to having to stand for an hour in the same place.
Souvenirs like t-shirts, caps, pins can be purchased before or after the flight. We also give free balloon postcards at our office.
Rates are 175 Euro per person for the Butterfly Balloon flight. You will get 10 Euro discount on cash payment. You can pay the flight fee cash at our office in many currencies including Euro, Turkish Lira and US Dollar. Children 6 to 12 years old will get 50% discount.
